I don't know what they're paying me. I got the job because the previous writer for that column happened to be in the student lounge mentioning she needed to hand it over to someone, and I jumped on it because it was good language practice and interesting. She said they pay by the word, but I never found out what the rate was. But since I'm doing it for my own interests and not as a job, the pay isn't much a deal breaker. I've never had any training or experience with this kind of writing (as is obvious to people who have), but our degrees were writing intensive. Too bad JIN doesn't want old term papers.
